Gadgets for book lovers

Wish list material October 30, 2007

I just learned about this great American gift store, Signals. With the holidays coming up, this might be of use to you. Either to seek out a gift for somebody, or to add a thing or two to your own wish list. Signals sells, amongst other stuff, great bookish products and gadgets. If you have their catalog at home, get seated and drool over pages 32 trough 35. If you do not have it at home, click on the page numbers to see the catalog online: 32, 33, 34, 35. Or click here to order the physical catalog.

Thanks to Arlen for e-mailing me about this!

Dress up. Bookish style. October 13, 2007

I love, love, love this. Check out this fantastic dress. If you are a librarian or book freak, this is the thing to wear to your Christmas party. If it was not so expensive, I would order it in a heartbeat. The cardigan is great too, but the dress really does it for me. Click here for the dress and here for the cardigan.

Thanks to Phoenix for the link!

Penguin book bags February 13, 2007

I have posted on Penguin stuff before. Mugs, Deck chairs. It might seem if they were sponsoring me, but they are not. I wish. I just like their products. Next to the things I have mentioned, they also make bags. There is a shop in my town which sells them, as well as the mugs, and I would love to have one of them! If you also would like to own a bag, click here.

Writers Umbrella January 27, 2007

Filed under: Clothing — Kim @ 6:19 pm

It is widely known you need an umbrella when you visit my country, The Netherlands. It rains a lot over here. Since I live on the coast, a umbrella is useless. I would not want the wind to destroy this umbrella. I love it! It depicts female writers. Lovely! I browsed the web and found the cheapest one here. There is also a matching bag available.

This website has so many goodies on them, it is impossible to pick one. For this reason I will give you the entire site. On it you will find great things featuring classical English and American authors. From their portraits to their quotes, you can get it on T-shirts, tiles, baby clothes, art and much, much more! The site also has nice stuff for librarians.

Great bags! January 13, 2007

I have posted about bags and book totes before. This type of bag is quite different. The bag IS a book. This creative soul makes bags out of books. I really love them! The designer makes the bags out of all sorts of books. Take a look at the catalogue to see if your favourite book is in there.

Tapestry book bags January 7, 2007

Recently I had a post on tapestry cushions. I am not a fan of needle point, but I seem to run in to it quite often. These bags are quite nice, I have to say. I am just wondering if they are made by hand. That must me horrible to make.

Another nice bag to put all sorts of stuff in. And – of course – your books. The bag is 16” x 12” x 5”. It is available here.

On top

Tastes differ. I personally do not like this top, but you might. Even though my favourite colour is pink, it is a bit too much for me. Anyway. The top is made of cotton and is accented with beadwork. You can learn more about it here.

Imagine, it is a cold rainy Sunday. You have made yourself a nice cup of tea. Snuggle up on the couch with a good book. Wearing this two piece cotton lounge set. Cosy, huh?
