The book about books for today. This book is quite expensive, but a real must have. I contains the most beautiful pictures of libraries all over the world. Umberto Eco wrote an essay on libraries for this book. You can learn more about it, or buy it, here (US) or here (EU).

I also got this for Christmas and it is so beautiful and wonderful! It’s worth every penny.

My only complaint is that it doesn’t include the John Rylands University of Manchester Libraries Special Collections building, but I think it was under renovation when most of these photos were taken.

When someone buys something on Amazon via my website, I get a very small percentage which is payed out in gift coupons. I do this, because enables me to buy an (American) book which is hard to come by in The Netherlands.

I saved up the coupons, so I could order Libraries without paying too much. Of course the gift coupons did not add up to the total amount of the book, but it helped.

I love the book. It is fantastic. I appreciate it even more, because my visitors helped me get it. Thank you all!
