Recently I have noticed that a new collection is growing in my library. The shelve, or now shelves, that holds books about books is growing faster then any other shelve or category. I do not only like to read, I like to read about books as well. This can be anything from reading about other peoples libraries to the care for books. (Click here to view my books on books collection: English, Dutch, German.) Since I am a photographer, amongst other things, I love photo books that depict books or libraries too.
A couple of days ago, I wandered into an modern antiquarian. My heart jumped when I noticed the little area devoted to books about books and publishing. I found “A book of books” there. A wonderful book with beautiful pictures of Abelardo Morell in it. Next to the pictures are often quotations or poems by famous writers about books. If you love photography and books, this book is a must have! Learn more about the book here.

PS. If you want to read more about books about books, select the likewise named category in the side bar. (Or simply click here.)
The people of The Design Files did an interview with book artist Nicholas Jones. I thought you might be interested in his work and what he has to say about it. You can read the article here.

It’s old, so you probably know it. I did not and I found it very funny.
Used books and library books can house some hidden treasures. AbeBooks has a fun article about the stuff people find in books. You can read the story here.

Or better: snow every day of the year! This bookcase is beautiful. If will not be easy to house books in it without damaging them or putting them in a strange position all together. But the case looks great, I have got to say. It would work great as a room divider. You can read more about it here.

A Kimbooktu reader by the name of Peter Thomas recommended this blog for the Top 10 Favorite Blogs of the British magazine PC Advisor. Thank you so much for that! This blog appeared second on the online list, which is to be found here. Below you can read what was said about this blog.
As you know, the Bookish Blog Links are moving to a different location. (See the post about this here.) I have been updating the new location, to be found here, again. All the blogs as featured on the list on this blog from A to K are now on the new site. I hope to include the ‘fresh’ links you send me as soon as possible. Bare with me, it is a lot of work to copy the hundreds of blogs…
